A Happy New Year to all TOYO members
Last year saw a good response to our efforts for the development of new markets and new products over the past several years, such as new entry into Sub-Saharan Africa, FEED work of oil sands refinery project in Canada and completion of the Micro-GTL demonstration plant by the end of last year. We believe this leads to better prospects for this year.
As we start new Mid-Term Management Plan from this April, we will take on the challenge of becoming an engineering group of companies to survive, grow and make a big leap forward in the global market. The following three points will be the key to a successful mission:
(1) Each overseas affiliate shall enhance its EPC performance to become the self-sustainable company and, in addition, strengthen a mutually complementary relationship and alliance among the group of companies.
(2) Under the banner of “More towards upstream,” Toyo-Japan shall strive for the provision of service from the EPC planning stage onward and the business structural reform to expand into the field of oil and gas development.
(3) Human Capital Development Globally
Our business calls for the basis of “Think global, Act local.” Amid the increasing demand for the boost of local content by emerging countries and resource-rich countries with a view to developing their own industries and human resources, the promotion of “local production for local consumption” oriented business has become a common growth strategy for both customers and contractors.
Only because of the uncertain outlook, this year will mark a new year for forming the TOYO image for the next generation and moving forward decisively toward its achievement. I would like you all to join hands for the pursuit of an ever-growing TOYO.
