May 1, 2011 marks the 50th Anniversary of Toyo Engineering Corporation (TOYO) since its founding. On this milestone anniversary, I should like to deeply thank all shareholders, clients and all licensors, partners, companies, organizations, institutions who have engaged and collaborated with TOYO during these 50 years. My thanks also go to all employees, former and present, of all TOYO’s group member companies and their families. Without continuing supports and cooperation of all these stakeholders, this memorable milestone 50th anniversary would not have been a reality.
Spinning off in 1961 from Toyo Koatsu Industries Inc.’s Engineering Department (presently, Mitsui Chemical Inc.), TOYO has been honored to successfully undertake several thousands of projects mainly in the field of plant engineering in more than 50 countries around the globe. In so doing, TOYO has seen itself growing as a truly global enterprise with active Global Toyo Network covering key nodes of EPC-capable subsidiaries in India, Korea, China, Malaysia and other countries together with regional ones in Europe, Americas, and the Middle East.
On this 50th Anniversary occasion, all at Toyo Group companies reaffirm in concert and afresh our commitments to pursue Toyo Group Mission “Engineering for Sustainable Growth of the Global Community” and to achieve Toyo Group Vision "Global Leading Engineering Partner". We will greatly appreciate it if our endeavor to fulfill the commitment be supported by your continuing aegis and encouragement.
In conclusion, let me pray for the repose of those who lost their lives in Tohoku Earthquake and its following tsunami, and hope for the earliest possible recovery and restoration of the stricken regions. Yet, a large number of evacuees are living difficult and inconvenient lives away from their homes. TOYO will continue support and assistance to all the extent possible to improve the situation.
