On September 23, 2009, Toyo Ingeniería de Venezuela, C.A. (Toyo-Venezuela), a TOYO group company in Venezuela, celebrated its opening in Caracas, Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
The ceremony was attended by more than 100 guests, including Ms. Socorro Hernández, President of PDVSA Ingeniería y Construcción, Mr. Julio Carpio, Vice President of Petroquímica de Venezuela, S.A. (Pequiven), and Mr. Shuji Shimokoji, Ambassador of Japan to Venezuela.
Projects under planning in Venezuela include development of oil and gas fields such as Orinoco oil field and Mariscal Sucre gas field, heavy oil upgrading facilities, refinery modernization to process heavy crude oil, LNG plant, and large-scale petrochemical complexes, in line with the government’s policy for adding value to the natural resources.
