TOYO Awarded a Urea Granulation Contract from Russia

Toyo Engineering Corporation (TOYO) (President and CEO: Yutaka Yamada) with cooperation of Itochu Corporation has been awarded a contract from OAO “Salavatnefteorgsintez”, a refinery and petrochemical company of Gazprom group, for Urea Granulation Plant in Salavat with a capacity of 1,400 t/d.

The scope of contract includes grant of license and development of basic design. The start up of the plant is scheduled in 2011. This project targets enhancing the value and quality of end products as well as modernization of production based on energy saving technologies which goes in line with Russia’s government policy. TOYO’s Urea Granulation technology is a technology with low utility consumption, being successfully used at 18 plants in the world.

TOYO, being an EPC contractor and licensor for several technologies, for the last more than 45 years has performed more than 60 projects successfully in former Soviet Union and Russia.
