Toyo Engineering Corporation (TOYO) has been awarded a contract for the World's Largest Yansab Ethylene Glycol (EG) plant with the capacity of 700,000 MTPA by Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC). This plant is TOYO's fourth EG plant order in Saudi Arabia and TOYO's second plant in Yanbu Industrial City on the western coast of Saudi Arabia where 420,000 MTPA EG plant was constructed by TOYO in 2000 for Saudi Yanbu Petrochemical Company (YANPET).
Based on the latest technology of Scientific Design, USA, TOYO's scope of work of the contract includes engineering, procurement of equipment and materials, and construction of the plant on a Lumpsum Turnkey contract basis. The plant is scheduled for completion in the 1st quarter of 2008.
The client's trust on TOYO's excellence and reliability, especially proved by smooth project execution of previous three EG projects in Saudi Arabia, including on-going 630,000 MTPA plant project for Jubail United Petrochemical Company (UNITED) in Al-Jubail.
TOYO has built the largest number of EO/EG plants in the world using Scientific Design process. Taking the opportunity this new order presents, TOYO will continue to strengthen its position in Saudi Arabia and other Middle East market.
