Toyo Engineering Corporation (TOYO, President and CEO Haruo Nagamatsu) has been awarded the Front End Engineering Design (FEED) Contract for the world scale petrochemical complex in Indonesia from PT Chandra Asri Perkasa, a subsidiary of PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk (Chandra Asri).
This project is Chandra Asri’s second petrochemical complex to be constructed in an adjacent area of Chandra Asri’s existing petrochemical complex in Cilegon, Banten, on the western tip of Java, Indonesia. TOYO is selected as the FEED contractor for Package-A of this project, which consists of production units of Olefin, Aromatics, Butadiene, and as well as central utility.
The award of this FEED contract is believed to reflect Chandra Asri’s positive evaluation of TOYO’s abundant track records in the existing petrochemical complex based on both party’s strong and long-term relationship of trust, starting with successful completion of the Olefin complex project in the 1990s. TOYO will continuously contribute to development of south-east Asian petrochemical industry including Indonesia’s one.
