Toyo Engineering Corporation (TOYO, President and CEO Katsumoto Ishibashi) has been awarded a project for a new regasification plant with a send out capacity of 5 million tons to be constructed by GSPC LNG Limited(GLL) at Mundra in Gujarat State on the west coast of India. Toyo-India will lead EPC work on a turnkey basis, from engineering to construction and commissioning. The plant is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2016.
GLL is a joint venture mainly anchored by GSPC (Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation), which is involved in exploration and production (E&P) of oil and gas, to establish LNG receiving, storage & regasification terminal. The project follows on from the expansion project for Petronet LNG at Dahej, Gujarat State, which was awarded to TOYO recently. To meet the growing demand for natural gas for electricity and fertilizer, more than 10 additional LNG import terminals are now planned to be built in India. TOYO will actively develop its business activities in the country, striving to secure orders for these LNG receiving terminal projects as well as fertilizer projects using gas as feedstock.
