Toyo Engineering Corporation (TOYO) and Toyo Engineering Korea Limited (Toyo-Korea) , under the scheme of “Global Toyo(*)” and with cooperation of Itochu Corporation have been awarded a contract from SIBUR, a chemical and petrochemical subsidiary company of Gazprom, for construction of Ethyl benzene (EB) plant in Perm with capacity of 220,000 t/y for ZAO “Sibur-Khimprom”.

The scope of contract includes basic and detail design, procurement and supervision of construction. The start up is scheduled for the end of 2010. Licensed technology of the Badger Licensing LLC has been selected for this EB plant. This EB plant is a part of the new investment plan of ZAO “Sibur-Khimprom” consisting of construction of expandable polystyrene (EPS) facility, expansion of ethylene and Styrene Monomer (SM) facilities, as well as modernization and development of infrastructure for existing facilities. SIBUR has adopted a long-tem investment program consisting of a series of investment projects, aiming at increasing of local market share as well as expansion of export of a wide range of organic synthesis products.

Toyo Engineering Corporation for the last more than 40 years has achieved construction of more than 60 plants successfully in Soviet Union and Russia, and therefore has accumulated vast experience of design based on Russian design standard requirements as well as know-how of project execution in Russia. Such experience will be shared within the group of “Global Toyo” in order to expand our business expecting further economic growth and business development in Russia.
