Toyo Engineering Corporation (TOYO, Yutaka Yamada, President and Chief Executive Officer) and MITSUI & CO., LTD. (Mitsui, Shoei Utsuda, President and Chief Executive Officer, Head Office: Ohtemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) have jointly agreed with AECOM Technology Corporation (AECOM), a design and consulting company in the United States, to acquire the AECOM-owned shares in Earth Tech Mexican Holdings S.A. de C.V. (ETM), a water treatment engineering enterprise in Mexico. Mitsui and TOYO will hold all the shares in ETM, in the proportion of Mitsui 85% and TOYO 15%.

ETM is a company with about 100 engineers (about 550 employees in total) that has its origin in a water treatment division of Cydsa, a petrochemical company in Mexico, and has an established position especially in the country's municipal and industrial water treatment field. As it also invests in and operates water treatment businesses, ETM has a range of capabilities in the field of, ranging from the development of projects to the administration of EPC, O&M and investment businesses. Through this capital participation, TOYO, as part of its ongoing development of social infrastructure businesses, will optimize its expertise in water related technologies and promote its water related DBOOM (Design, Build, Own, Operate and Maintain) business.
