Polyolefin (PE/PP)

UNIPOL™ is featured with a fluidized bed reactor to polymerize monomer (ethylene for PE and propylene for PP) in gas phase under a specific catalyst with a co-monomer and hydrogen. A solid particle bed is formed inside the reactor on which the polymer accumulates and is fluidized with the gas flow. There is no part mechanically moving nor a solid separation equipment like cyclone installed inside the fluidized bed reactor, these unique feature lowers construction cost and increases reliability of the production remarkably.

In 1989, TOYO was awarded the first UNIPOL PP plant in Indonesia. Since then TOYO has already delivered more than 30 UNIPOL PE and PP plants around the world including United States, Middle East, Russia, Korea, China and Asian countries, most of them are performed by Toyo-Korea participated in, so Toyo-Korea hold many qualified and experienced engineers for UNIPOL process. Toyo-Korea operates a specialized team of experienced engineers for UNIPOL plant engineering design. Internal system named as Team UNIPOL collects feedback on previous experience and incorporates lessons learned during engineering stage and at the site which reflects into design works, so it makes keep maintain continuity of advanced technology up-date and manage high quality of design throughout the projects which develop our staffs as professional experts and get more experienced in PE and PP process.

Toyo-Korea is very familiar with the specialized (critical) equipment of PE and PP process, and close working relationship with fully qualified and experienced proven Vendors. This is beneficial for Vendor quality and cost control.
