Toyo Engineering India Pvt. Ltd. (Toyo India), a wholly owned subsidiary of Toyo Engineering Corporation (Toyo-Japan) has won the order for Front End Engineering & Design (FEED) and Cost Estimate (CE) from Essar Oil UK Limited, towards its FCC Carbon Di-Oxide Capture Unit (CDCU) at Stanlow Manufacturing Complex, England (UK).
Toyo-India secured this order against stiff competition from International Design engineering Companies. The award of this project marks the first collaboration of Toyo-I with Essar Oil (UK) Limited.
Stanlow is committed to becoming the UK’s first low carbon process refinery by investing US $1.2bn over the next five years to lower emissions by 95 %, by decarbonizing the production processes. In addition, it is expected to be the first low carbon refinery worldwide, setting the global benchmark for the industry.
This unit will capture 0.96 MMTPA of CO2, which will enable 45% CO2 emission abatement from the refinery and fulfill the UK’s ambition to capture between 20 and 30 MMTPA of CO2 by 2030.
With bagging this order for CO2 capture unit, Toyo India has further consolidated its position, as Leading Engineering Company in Oil and Gas sector with a focus on Green energy.
