On May 27, 2011, Toyo Engineering Korea (President & CEO Miyashita Kenjiro) has received LOI for an Indonesia Butadiene Extraction Project from PT Petrokimia Butadiene Indonesia, which is a subsidiary company of PT. Chandra Asri, with contract amount of 110million dollars.
This plant will be constructed in Cilegon region of western Java in Indonesia. This is the first plant to produce Butadiene in Indonesia with a production capacity of 100,000 tons per year. Construction will take 23 months and will aim to complete by April of 2013. At present, the project has been started early work based on Lummus Technology. Toyo Engineering Korea will conduct engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning on lump-sum turn-key basis.
As Indonesia has became the strategic area for overseas project, Toyo Engineering Korea expects more projects to be awarded continuously and also will take a firm stance as an EPC Contractor through the successful execution of this project.
